English Events seek to create a welcoming and relaxing environment where students can practice and improve their English outside of the classroom. This semester we will host several activities including:
1. English Lunchtime Chats
· Bring your lunch and come have a casual chat about current news & events!
· Held every Thursday from weeks 4-14 of the semester (starting Oct.1)
· Location: MB1009
· Time: 12:10-13:00
· No registration in advance required
2. English Guest Lectures
· Come listen to interesting talks about marine science in English!
· Held in week 5, 9, 12, 14 of the semester (Oct. 6 & 20, Nov. 24, Dec. 8)
· Location: MA3020
· Time: 12:30-13:30

3. English Social: Board Game Night
· Take a moment to relax after midterms and come play some games!
· Held in week 10 of the semester (Nov. 11th)
· Location: MB2020
· Time: 19:00-21:00
· A Registration link will be sent out closer to the date.
4. English Documentary Screening
· Enjoy some popcorn and watch the documentary Chasing Coral
· Held in week 15 of the semester (Dec. 16)
· Location: MA3020
· Time: 19:00-21:00

Through these English Events, we hope to provide students with more opportunities to communicate in English, build confidence, and connect with fellow students and researchers in the College of Marine Sciences.
