The International Doctoral Program of Marine Science and Technology at National Sun Yat-sen University in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, is inviting applications for a full-time Assistant Professor position. We seek applicants with expertise in the field of marine chemistry to join our vibrant academic community.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• Develop external research funds and contribute to the growth of the program.
• Deliver excellent teaching in introductory, advanced-level undergraduate, and graduate courses.
• Provide support for required classes.
• You will be required to teach at least one English-Medium Instruction (EMI) course each semester, effective for new faculty recruited after August 1, 2022.
• Engage in academic and administrative services to support the program and the university.

Qualifications:

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Hold a Ph.D. degree.
• Have more than two years of post-doctoral experience.
• Demonstrate a track record of publishing at least two papers in SCIE journals within related research fields.
• Proficiency in English is a must.

Video Presentation:

Applicants are invited to prepare a video presentation covering the following main items:

1. Self-introduction (5 minutes): Please introduce yourself.
2. Trial teaching (5 minutes): Select one of the related subjects and deliver a sample teaching session.
3. Short talk (5 minutes): Discuss your research performance and how you plan to collaborate with our colleagues to promote the future development of the graduate program and the department.

The video should be in WMV or MP4 format, with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels, and saved on Dropbox or Google Drive.
